It is also possible that if Navi ever returns in upcoming Legend of Zelda games, Nintendo may take a page out of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time port's features, and make sure the navigator offers hints at the player's request, instead of constantly pestering Link while he attempts to save Hyrule from imminent disaster.

While Navi's presence in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has become an iconic staple of the series, the ability to ignore her interactions through the fan-made PC port may be a relief for those wanting to experience the game without constant interruption. Even Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto hated Navi and considered removing the character’s hint-giving mechanic completely, wanting the puzzle-solving system to be more complex. While her help is important for solving puzzles, her hovering blue form and persistent cries to get Link's attention often make her presence more annoying than helpful. Navi is one of the many companions that can accompany Link through his different journeys across the Zelda series.
